2011 Free Festival Shuttle Service
The Abu Dhabi Film Festival operates a free shuttle bus service throughout the Festival (October 13 to 22). The shuttle buses stop at each of the three theater locations – the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, Marina Mall and the Abu Dhabi Theater – as well as the InterContinental Hotel Abu Dhabi. Shuttles depart every 15 minutes.
Festival guests should note that parking at Abu Dhabi Theater is limited to parking pass holders . We recommend that guests park at Marina Mall next to the Mercedes Benz showroom and take the free Festival Shuttle bus to the Abu Dhabi Theater.
Shuttle Routes
Hotel and Screening Shuttles (8am to 2am)
Red Route runs between Fairmont Bab Al Bahr and the Abu Dhabi Theatre
Green Route runs between Fairmont Bab Al Bahr and Marina Mall
Blue Route runs between Fairmont Bab Al Bahr and Intercontinental Hotel Abu Dhabi
Additional Routes
Buses will run every 10 minutes between Abu Dhabi Theater and Marina Mall
Buses will run every 15 minutes between Intercontinental and Marina Mall
From Dubai to Fairmont Bab Al Bahr
- Follow signs to Abu Dhabi/Maqtaa Bridge
- Before crossing Maqtaa Bridge, move to the right hand lane and follow the “Tourism Information” sign on your right.
- Turn left, drive past the fort which houses the Tourism office, and follow the road as it goes under the bridge and then heads north, where you'll follow it until the first roundabout.
- Make a right turn from the roundabout, and the entrance to the Fairmont driveway will soon appear on your right.
