Filmmakers on the go: Reem Al Falahi
I’m planning to visit the Berlin Film Festival in the coming years and maybe one day I will submit my work to the festival. However, I need a little time to work on myself and develop my skills. In a nutshell…
Reem Al Falahi was born in 1990 in the UAE. She studies Applied Communications at Dubai Women’s College. She’s one of the founders of Dream, Seek and Achieve, a campaign designed for young Emiratis. She’s currently working on two projects: one narrative and one documentary film.
Snapshots from Berlin
I came back from this program full of enthusiasm, and ready to do my next film project, which I’ve started developing.

From Berlin to the UAE
It would be great to do the Talent Campus here.
My journey into the world in cinema
I chose to study Applied Communications since I was in high school; a goal that I reached, but now I have to practice and apply what I learned by directing and producing films.
Sources of inspiration
Orphan by Jaume Collet-Serra was my favorite movie. Art inspires me to do movies. Anything passes on my daily life gives me inspiration to make films.
Aspirations
I always aim high and I think that I’m able to do more than others because I always dream and when I reach those dreams I look for new goals to reach.
The Last Word
You should all have a dream and try to follow it, I'm sure you will reach it one day.
